Since its formation in 1999 TRANSCO has developed into one of the leading transmission companies in the region and plays a vital role in supporting the development of Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. An exceptionally high growth in load demand has necessitated a rapid expansion of both power and water networks that has successfully met the growing demand as well as supporting neighboring emirates. This growth is set to accelerate still further as many of the largest development projects reach completion over the coming years.

TRANSCO’s primary strategic goal remains ensuring the availability and quality of an essential public service. Whilst we have been highly successful at meeting this challenge to date, and must continue to be so in the future, we are operating in an ever more challenging and regulated environment: Not only must we meet the rapidly growing demands of our customers for power and water but we must do so with increased efficiency if we are to meet our regulatory targets. At the same time we face increasing regional competition to attract and retain the skills we require and to increase the level of Emiratization within the company.

To achieve these efficiency gains, as well as ensuring that this is done reliably, securely and safely whilst at the same time achieving the optimum balance between performance, risk and cost; we must continue developing our people, our processes and our systems. TRANSCO’s Corporate Values form the foundations which underpin both the way we operate as a company and the many company initiatives aimed at ensuring we can continue to deliver these improvements in the future.
